Eucharistic Ministry for the Homebound
Mission Statement:
Every Catholic should have the opportunity to receive Holy Communion on Sunday. If you cannot come to the Lord, our parish will bring the Lord to you.
Proclamation:
We pledge that a member of our parish will bring the Eucharist to each parishioner who wishes to receive this Sacrament, but who is unable to attend Sunday Mass because of illness or physical disability.
By the virtue of the birthright of our baptism and the hunger of our heart, access to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, should never be postponed even if on a temporary basis. Partaking of the Lord every Sunday directly unites the homebound with our congregational Mass worship at St. John’s Church. We become one in the powerful prayer of the Mass from which God’s blessings, healing and comfort flow out to all.
Please notify the Rectory whenever a Parishioner becomes Homebound so arrangements can be made for Sunday communion visits. Or contact Msgr. Mulligan or Robert Pang if you wish to become a Eucharistic Minister for the Homebound.

Celebration Ministry
The Celebration Ministry:
Psalm 118:27 :: The LORD is our God, and he has given us light! Start the celebration!
Our Lord gives us many reasons to celebrate, blessing us with opportunities. Our mission at St. John’s is to celebrate our member’s blessings. Many of us celebrate privately. We are inviting the parish to celebrate collectively, multiplying our opportunity to rejoice in the Lords gifts.
The Celebration Ministry invites all parish members to notify us of opportunities to celebrate: i.e. new baby, marriage, wedding anniversary, birthday, new home, new job, new business, athletic achievements and any other occasions for celebration. As a parish we will celebrate with an announcement at Mass, a listing in the weekly bulletin and a posting on our website.
